Just posted up a near-final video of my hacked Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks game for PS2.

I recently discovered some more stuff.
1.Shao Khan is only playable in his own level, trying to use him anywhere else makes the game stall. He does not play like a regular character.

2.Many of the other characters without movesets can be used in the single-player mode as your partner. In the video, I used Ermac. I originally did it with Shang Tsung but the results were glitchy. Using the girls as a partner would result in them having really long necks, a crazy looking mono-brow and occasionally... a single central boob. I'm not making this up.

Using Ermac, Smoke, Jax, Noobsaibot and Kabal looks/works best. They'll all still sound like Kung Lao though.
3. I have now made hotkeys for all the characters so that I can select whoever I want to from every save point in the game. During play ANYWHERE, I can press my combination of keys and the game will store the chosen character in it's memory. You can see this when I save my progress with a different character than the one that I am using during play.

4. Kintaro plays like a regular character, almost like the game designers intended him to be playable. He cannot use weapons, use "Fist of Ruin" and does not have any finishing moves.

I am no longer using the "hardwired codes", and now only use my Joker Codes activated by pressing a combination of keys.

(Use a hex-editor to find and replace the values within the SLUS-21087 first to make the game run in 16:9 format, you can do this right after you have extracted the game files in preperation for combining your game with the ARMax disc)
